The “Metal Wall Relief” wall decoration in the shape of a heart is a design by the American designer Alexander Girard for Vitra. He was considered one of the most influential figures in American design during the post-war period, bringing a sensuous playfulness to twentieth-century design. Girard devoted himself to various surfaces and experimented with their movement and structure.
The heart wall decoration is a good example of this, having been made from durable brass with reflective properties. The soft shape of the 43 x 38 cm large heart stands in contrast with the solid copper material.
The heart is easily hung on the wall thanks to the included assembly material and offers a romantic ambience to any room.
